Poised for growth with new appointments

Jacob Collins joins as our Head Land Analyst bringing nearly a decade of experience in acquisition and development. Working alongside our senior development team, Jacob brings exceptional technical skill and a new level of attention to detail to Life Less Ordinay’s appraisals, with a deep understanding of data-driven technologies and the ability to unlock unique partnership opportunities. Jacob holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from Cambridge University and recently led on the acquisition of our new site in Gerrards Cross. In his spare time, he loves cooking and confesses to being a sushi addict. He also enjoys running and striking jazz notes on his trumpet.

Jacob comments: “Life Less Ordinary has an excellent reputation as a relatively young but well-respected developer that adds value in everything that it does. They have built such an impressive portfolio in a relatively short space of time, with not only an impeccable model but exceptional client feedback from landowners to homeowners. I am excited to join the business during its period of growth and look forward to working closely with the growing team.”

Life Less Ordinary has also recruited Joseph Fenlon as Senior Quantity Surveyor, who brings a wealth of experience in the UK residential sector across MMC, traditional, timber frame and RC frame technologies. His diverse background in successful delivery includes large-scale housing schemes at his previous employer, Keepmoat Homes. His appointment further bolsters our growing in-house construction team and is well suited to our ethos of providing our end-users with a ‘life less ordinary’.

Jacob Collins, Head Land Analyst

Joseph’s core responsibilities will be to manage and expand our supply chain, provide vital and skilled input from early feasibility and lead the commercial function of the business. His appointment will ensure we continue to offer the best value to our customers whilst offering a product we are proud of and above the expectations of first time-buyers. Outside of work Joseph enjoys spending his time collecting antiques and art, playing golf, and climbing. He also has a passion for historic architecture and design.

Shakir Sufian joins us as Senior Architect, bringing over 20 years’ experience in architecture across the UK and Middle East. A RIBA chartered architect, his diverse background includes working across multiple sectors for some of the UK’s leading architectural practices. Projects have included prime residential developments at the upper end of the market to large masterplans and student accommodation. His meticulous attention to detail, creative touch and technical design capability allows the team to positively evolve its product offering by putting the buyer at the centre of the design process. Outside of work, Shakir is a keen movie buff, an aspiring chef, cyclist and avid traveller.

Hinesh Chawda, Director, comments: “Jacob, Joseph and Shakir bring an impressive range of skill and experience to our team as we continue to work on a number of live sites and future opportunities across Greater London. Building and bolstering our in-house capabilities across land, design and development will enable us to manage each project lifecycle with greater skill, speed and attention to detail. We are incredibly excited to be building from within.”

Each new team member will be involved in the sourcing, design and construction of LLO sites, including The Quadrate, pictured above.
